Lola (in center):
Lola has been a massage therapist for the past 6 years. She attended the Medical Careers Institute full time at night, while during the day taking care of her four children. "I first got interested in massage 20 years ago. Whilst pregnant with my oldest child I had taken infant massage at the local hospital in England where I lived. Seeing the benefit massage had on my children and the bond that it created I knew that I would have to learn more about the profession." She enjoys her chosen career in the field of health and wellness. "It is very satisfying to know that through touch you can change the way a patient feels." Lola has worked for Pinto Chiropractic for a little over 5 years and it still continues to be a constant source of learning and enjoyment for her.
Brandy (second from left):
Brandy became interested in massage therapy when her now almost ten year old son was diagnosed with acid reflux at the tender age of two months old, and she found that she could help sooth him through baby massage classes. "It was a bonding experience and the start of a wonderful career." She is now a graduate of the Medical Careers Institute for the massage therapy program and has enjoyed being a massage therapist for two years and counting! Brandy is originally from Virginia Beach and she has two sons whom she loves to be active with during her free time.
Casey (second from right):
Ms. Bartley graduated from (Medical Careers Institute) MCI in January 2009 and has been working at Pinto Chiropractic and Rehabilitation ever since. "I love doing massage because I love the outcome of how it helps the patient get better during their [chiropractic] care." She is from Hampton, Virginia and currently resides with her boyfriend and son, whom she enjoys spending time with during her free time. She also loves reading!
Ashley (far right):
Ashley chose the massage therapy field because "I enjoy bringing relaxation to patients' day, relieving stress and pain and fixing the problem areas." She received an Associate of Applied Science degree from the Medical Careers Institute in December of 2009. Though the medical field is her passion, Ashley enjoys singing, dancing, and listening to R&B in her spare time.
Rylee (far left):
Rylee Boone is a graduate of the Cayce/Reilly School of Massage Therapy. She first became interested in massage therapy when she started getting massages for migraines. "I started getting fewer and fewer migraines and that's when I realized how beneficial massage therapy really was." In high school she participated in swimming and ballroom dance and found that massage therapy again really helped with her sore back and leg muscles. "That's when I realized I wanted to be a massage therapist." She loves the way it helps with circulation, muscle pain, cramps and spasms, headaches and just all together relaxation. "I am a firm believer in helping others feel better and Pinto Chiropractic is just the place to do that!"
